Born in 1967 in Japan, Katsuya started as a DJ in the late 1980’s when disco was the main sound displayed at parties. He was very much into the New York sound, and that’s how he started his career.
He was playing at THE BANK, PICASSO, CAVE, MANIAC LOVE and YELLOW,
which were famous in Japanese night. He is also a passionate vinyl collector, and is very knowledgeable about disco, soul, jazz, fusion, rock, and rare groove music and still is an adviser for record shops in Tokyo too. Later on, he moved to trance music and rave parties and had his first appearance at Panorama Bar in Berlin as part of an IBADAN RECORDS label night.
Katsuya never stops discovering new genres of music, and keeps on
updating his knowledge and collection with passion.
With over twenty years of experience, Katsuya mainly plays deep house, where he offers a complete journey to his auditors.
