1995年千葉県市川市生まれ。
’16年に結成したハウス・ミュージック・コレクティブCYKのメンバーであり、ソロにおいても国内外で多くのギグを重ねている。
’20年9月に京都へ拠点を移し2025年までに国内29都市、海外8都市でプレイ。
DJにおいては10年代以降のダンスミュージックを参照点に過去アーカイブを織り交ぜながらボーダーレスに展開する。社会的なムードやフロアのグルーヴに応じた独自のセレクションには定評がある。2023年3月には渋谷WWW X、翌2024年には東京を除く全国5都市でオールナイトロング・セットを敢行した。
また、Baba StiltzやMall Grab、Ross From Friendsなど数々のアップカミングなDJ/プロデューサーを招聘してきたCYKは、日本のみならず韓国や香港、タイなどのアジア、Rainbow DiscoClubやFUJI ROCKなどのフェスティバルにも過去ラインナップ。ContactやO-EASTなどの国内ベニューでの企画や、毎夏恒例江ノ島OPPA-LAでのALL DAY LONG企画などをメイクしている。
B2Bスタイルを軸に広義の”ハウス”の解釈のもと、日本を中心に海外も含めた様々なシチュエーションでプレイを重ねている。また、旧来のハウス・ミュージック・カルチャーに準拠し、セーフスペースの概念に重きを置いたフロア作りを行なっている。
自身のパーティおよびCYKを中心に多数のフライヤーを手がけるグラフィックデザイナーとしての側面もあり、過去にコラムが中心となったZINEの製作を行うなどあらゆるフォーマットでアウトプットを行なっている。DJという肩書きに依拠せず活動する彼は、この時代に投下された一種の吸収体による純粋な反応に過ぎない。

Kotsu is a member of the house music collective CYK. He has performed extensively across Japan and internationally.
As part of CYK, he has been invited to play numerous B2B sets at leading Tokyo venues such as Contact, WOMB, and VENT, as well as major festivals including Rainbow Disco Club, FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL, and Wonderfruit Festival.
Since relocating to Kyoto in September 2020, Kotsu has maintained a steady pace of activity. By February 2023, he had performed in 30 cities across Japan. He has organized his own party series, UNTITLED, in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka, and holds residencies in Okayama and Hiroshima, continuing to channel pure energy into Japan’s dance music and club culture. In 2023, he played an all-night-long set at WWW X.
As a DJ, Kotsu delivers borderless dance music, connecting the sounds of the present decade with carefully selected archives from the past. He is widely recognized for his distinctive selections that reflect both the social mood and the vibe of the dance floor.
Beyond DJing, Kotsu’s creative output extends to visual design and writing. He has produced numerous flyers for CYK and his own events, and published zines featuring his essays and columns.
